Andy is the founder of "FindTheTornado". Born on February 19, 1987, Andy grew up in Luverne, MN on the family farm. Andy relocates to Oklahoma City, OK for spring storms however he returns to the family farm during the summer months as the storm pattern changes, eventually returning to Oklahoma in the fall for some late season action.

Andy has storm chased since 2003 but his passion for tornadoes dates all the way back to 1993 when Andy and his dad Greg and witnessed a tornado two miles west of his home. Since then he has had a passion to study and document the weather.

Andy is a contracted storm chaser providing live streaming video and high-quality news video for SevereStudios.com. During his life, Andy has witnessed over 150 tornadoes and has chased in 24 states covering over 180,000 miles.

Andy has captured some of the most extreme tornado footage in the past few seasons. In 2011 he was one of a few select chasers to be a part of The Weather Channel's "Great Tornado Hunt" with Mike Bettes.

Andy's footage has been shown on networks worldwide. He has been interviewed by Anderson Cooper, Reynolds Wolf, Jim Cantore, and many others. His video has been seen on FOX News, MSNBC, CNN, NBC's Today Show, TWC, and multiple local stations.

This year Andy won a Regional Emmy® Award! Andy shares that honor with photojournalist Jonathan Wachter and KSFY-TV meteorologist Shawn Cable for a story called "Way Too Close" which featured Andy's August 7th, 2010 Wilkin County, MN tornado video.
