Worked as Training Officer for Carbondale Emergency Services for 19 years and have been presenting severe weather classes around the Midwest since 1985. The classes focus on spotting safety, reporting accuracy, and ways to improve the public warning system.
I volunteer with Oklahoma County and Canadian County EMA as a weather spotter and communicator and also volunteer at my local no-kill animal shelter taking care of the cats.
Founded WX-TALK and WX-CHASE e-mail weather lists in the 1980s and continue to moderate (babysit) the lists.
Moved to OKC in 2005 where I'm Asst. Chief Engineer for Fox25/CW34 TV and have been blamed for the "tornado drought" here.
